Subject: Outreach and Prayer Edition of Your Weekly I-Mail
 “The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest” Luke 10:2
There are a number of outreach opportunities we would like to remind you of this coming Friday. First, we are requesting all who are available to assist with the Murray Hill Playground Yard Sale and Vacation Bible School (VBS) Regsitration Outreach. This yearly event is a great way for Immanuel to reach out to the folks in the immediate neighborhood. Help is needed in a number of ways. You can assist with any of the following:
* Early morning setting up of tables and handing out flyers for both the Yard Sale and between 8:00 - 9:30am.
* Manning Yard Sale tables anytime between 9:30am to 5:30pm.
* Special flyer distribution to P.S. 22 parents with emphasis on visiting the VBS registration, face painting and balloon tables 2:00-3:15pm .
* Table set up for VBS Outreach. Help assist in manning tables for VBS registration, face painting, balloons, and free drinks 2:00 to 3:45pm. (Vicki A. will do street clowning. Herry and Debbie G. will do the face painting and balloons with Vicki's assistance.)
* Helping break down tables and removing yard sale items into Faith Hall at 5:00 to 6:00pm.
* Pray that conversations will lead to evangelistic opportunites.
If you enjoyed the Christ in the Passover Presentation this past April, we would also like to remind you of this Friday's Jews for Jesus Jewish Evangelism Seminar 7:00-9:00pm at Pillars of Faith (33-15 Parsons Blvd in Flushing). The seminar will be repeated the next day on Saturday at Living Word Ministries (132-05 Cross Bay Blvd.) in Ozone Park 9:30am -12:30pm (includes early morning coffee/worship). This is very important preparation for what God is doing in NYC! Please be part of the effort.
IMMEDIATE PRAYER NEEDS
Please pray for Annabelle as she undergoes minor surgery for removal of a kidney stone at 11:00am today. She will be put under general anesthesia. Pray that there are no complications...better yet, pray that the Lord passes the kidney stone right before their eyes!!
We have been in touch with the Parent Coordinator for P.S. 22 who is also a Christian. She has reported a "crisis" amongst staff at the school and is calling a prayer meeting of other Christain staff either today or sometime next week. They are interested in establishing greater contact with the area churches to assist with the spiritual issues at the school. This is an answer to prayer! Please pray for God's leading and our role in this regard.
